In recent years, social media has transformed the way individuals interact, communicate, and consume information. While these platforms offer numerous benefits, including enhanced connectivity and access to information, they have also been associated with negative mental health outcomes. This paper explores the complex relationship between social media use and mental health, drawing on current research to examine both the positive and negative effects. The paper discusses the impact of social media on anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and body image, as well as the role of social media in promoting mental health awareness and support. The findings suggest that while social media can contribute to mental health challenges, it also has the potential to be a powerful tool for promoting well-being, provided it is used mindfully and responsibly.Downloads
