Abstract

This study examines the impact of the Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin Yojana on the revenue growth of local businesses in rural areas of Ahmednagar, Pune, and Nashik District. The study uses a structured questionnaire to survey 150 local business owners for the purpose of identifying changes in customer spending, reported revenue increases, and their perception of the scheme’s direct impact. In this research work we use Statistical tests, including the chi-square test and a one-sample proportion test, were applied to analyze the responses. The research work results show that a significant majority of respondents observed an increase in customer spending and revenue after the scheme’s implementation. The research work findings suggest that the scheme has a positive effect on local business revenue, highlighting its role in boosting the local economy. The Research work concludes with recommendations for policy enhancements and suggestions for further research to validate and extend these findings.
