Abstract

This study delves into the development of social quotient (SQ) among MBA students in Nashik, India, aiming to understand how diverse experiences and approaches impact their social skill enhancement. Recognizing the increasing demand for leaders with strong interpersonal competencies in the evolving business landscape, the research explores the importance, influencing factors, and practical implications of SQ development. Employing a mixed-methods approach, including surveys, interviews, and regression analyses, the study investigates the role of extracurricular activities, internships, and community service initiatives in fostering SQ growth. Results highlight the significant influence of these experiences on students' interpersonal skills, empathy, and social awareness. Furthermore, the study establishes a positive correlation between SQ and academic performance, career advancement, and leadership potential among MBA students in Nashik. Recommendations are provided to educational institutions to integrate experiential learning, promote diversity and inclusion, invest in faculty development, conduct longitudinal studies, establish standardized assessment metrics, and enhance career development support services.
