AI Adoption and Workforce Transformation: A Comparative Analysis of Pune-Based IT Companies

This pilot study evaluates AI awareness and usage among 250 Pune-based IT professionals during a period of rapid digital transformation. Using a quantitative survey, the research identifies a significant engagement gap: younger employees, technical staff, and Computer Science graduates show much higher adoption rates than their non-technical counterparts.
The findings suggest that individual characteristics, rather than just infrastructure, drive AI integration. Consequently, the study advocates for inclusive training and continuous leaming initiatives to bridge competency gaps. By fostering a culture of digital curiosity, firms can ensure more equitable AI adoption, providing a foundation for future research into the human factors of this technological shift.
